Diamonds set in platinum, 18K and crystal
Renee Lewis and I became friends nearly 25 years ago. I was then global communications director at Harry Winston, and our mutual friend - the Town & Country jewelry editor - introduced us. Drawn to the abundant jeweled treasures she hunted at antique fairs and flea markets across New York, her eye for selecting antique jewels and objects for transformation became legendary. Once back in her studio, she would artfully deconstruct her finds, incorporating the most dazzling, precious elements of vintage pieces.
I purchased these one-of-a-kind “Shake” earrings from Renee at her fabulous New York City home. The apartment features a whimsical backyard, full of charm and imagination. It was clear that Renee’s creativity, style and ingenuity permeated every facet of her life. I treasure these heirloom earrings and have worn them to my most memorable events. They feature original Victorian settings, rock crystal encasing antique diamonds in a variety of shimmering colors, shapes and sizes.
